Alexandra grew up in Chelsea, Quebec. She first tasted the joys of local theatre when she played Baby Louise in an Orpheus Operatic Society production of Gypsy age twelve. She moved to Montreal aged 16 to study ballet at the Ecole Supérieure de Danse du Québec. She graduated from Concordia’s Liberal Arts College, obtained a journalism degree from University of Western Ontario, and studied and worked for a paper in Poland before returning to Montreal to work as a publicist for the National Theatre School of Canada. Marriage took her first to Toronto and then New York, where she worked on Wall Street by day and indulged her love of dance and theatre on Broadway by night. Sbe raised two lovely daughters, first in Manhattan and then in Ridgewood, New Jersey, where she was President of the Home and School Association and a grassroots organizer and activist in local politics. New Jersey is also where Alexandra’s family discovered the storied Paper Mill Playhouse. Alexandra is pleased to be back by the beautiful Ottawa River and honored to be part of the Hudson Players Club’s rich traditions.
